MusicDrop

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

Overview

MusicDrop is a social music app for iPhone. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices—including account deletion in the app.

Account data

When you sign up, we store account identifiers, display name, optional bio, and profile photo. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. We do not sell your personal information.

Listens, shares, and social activity

When you play music in MusicDrop, we may record listens and shares for your home feed, profile, and listening history according to your listen visibility setting (private, friends, or everyone).

Location

MusicDrop may attach coarse location to in-app listening events when you save a memory or build your private timeline. We do not continuously track your location in the background for this feature.

Contacts

If you choose to find friends, contact identifiers are hashed on-device for matching. We do not upload your address book in plain text.

Photos

Profile photos you upload are stored in Supabase Storage and shown on your profile according to your privacy settings.

Apple Music

Playback uses Apple Music via MusicKit. MusicDrop does not receive your Apple ID password. Catalog playback requires an Apple Music subscription as required by Apple.

Hosting and processors

App data is hosted on Supabase (database, auth, storage, and edge functions). Push notifications may use Apple Push Notification service (APNs).

Your rights and deletion

You can delete your account anytime in Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your profile and associated app data subject to legal retention requirements. You may also contact us at support@musicdrop.app.
